A barbecue grill is a type of grilling equipment used to cook grilled foods such as lamb skewers, meat, and vegetables. Barbecue grills can be categorized by their heat source (charcoal, gas, electric), grilling method (manual, automatic), and usage (household, commercial).

The essence of a barbecue grill is to heat and cook food using a heat source. In a narrow sense, a barbecue grill refers to a common grill that directly applies heat to the food. In a broader sense, it can encompass various forms, including teppanyaki.

After use, residue should be cleaned promptly and the grill stored in a dry, well-ventilated place. Applying cooking oil to the grill rack can prevent rust. For charcoal grills, the amount of charcoal should be controlled to prevent overheating and deformation. Electric and gas grills should avoid continuous high-temperature operation. For smokeless grills, the micropores of the combustion plate should be checked regularly. For gas-fired equipment, the gas source should be confirmed to be sealed before use. For microwave grills, the metal casing should be kept intact to block radiation. When cleaning, wait for the grill to cool down before wiping it clean after removing charcoal ash. Key maintenance points include avoiding overloading and removing residual grease to extend the equipment's lifespan.
